Cami Tafesse

Clinical Director

I am a Wichita, KS native.  I am both a Friends Falcon and also a Wichita State Shocker – go Shox!  I am proud of our community here in the ICT and have been fortunate to serve in a variety of capacities in my career.I began my work in community living within the Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities sector.  I then moved to serving adolescents who experience co-occurring Mental Health and Substance Use.  I provided Case Management services for clients in their home and school environments.  I also lead drug and alcohol psychosocial groups.  Groups are one of my favorite forms of treatment.  I then moved to the Victim Services sector at our local sexual assault center and served our community by providing crisis counseling, group work, and supporting survivors during court processes.  After serving at our sexual assault center, I was fortunate to assist in a leadership role where we provided services for children who are at risk of being removed from the home.  We focused on family stabilization in the program.  I also spent time in Home Health and Hospice, serving individuals who were experiencing critical health concerns, providing counseling and access to helpful resources to meet their needs.  I’ve been able to move into my current role at our center when we opened in 2020, and have been serving our community members by providing psychotherapy and managing our center.
